1) We celebrate Festival du Voyageur from February 17 - 26. Lots of jigging, drinking Caribou (no, not the animal but the drink), eating pea soup, admiring snow sculptures, beard competition, and who can forget "la tire", or also called Maple Taffy.
2) Which then brings me to the "tarte au sucre", or maple pie. We make a few of these during this time of the year, and honestly, it is enough sweetness to last me the year! I just go merrily buzzing all day.You definitely need a big glass of cold milk!

4) Cardinals overwinter here. We do not see them often but when we do, it is so magical.
5) From February 2 -12, several restaurants participate at this event. There are set menus at a special price and therefore it gives you a chance to experience different restaurants and different flavours and what they have to offer.
