1) Pine tree stain glass that my "mom" is working on. It is almost done. She just has to put patine on it and then a frame.

2) These Clump-O-Lumps made me smile! It’s stuffed animals that can be mixed and matched thanks to the zipper. Oh, the fun that can be had! My favorite is the Shark-o the Shark.

Wow Mother Nature, sometimes you can be such a show-off. Like your double rainbows, they make me smile and cry...

So keep your magicalness coming! We are love and appreciate it and it allows us to take deep breaths...

1) A picture of a Harbour Seal resting in a ray of sunlight out at Gabriola Island. The picture was taken by my "mom" Irene.

2) I love this...  The quote is by Andre Jordan. I wish I knew whom to credit for the photo.

3) Such a creative way to display a rock collection! I am in love with these vintage rock collections by Cori Kindred. Her collections of gemstones are placed in a bed of paper in a vintage box, and each one labeled with a typewriter. However, in a refreshing twist, rather than name the crystal, she picked words inspired by the shape and colour of the stone.

4) An image from here. Shadows are so interesting. Again, i do not know who is the artist.

Ladies' Night

OK. This is not your typical Ladies Night. You will not see stilettos, ruffles, sparkles, makeup or coiffed hair. You may see some pink, but we are sweating out and busting our hinnies. Tonight Tribalistic Triathlon Club will be hosting the 4th Ladies Night brick workout at the Pan Am Pool.  Ladies Night is offered on the first Thursday of every month and is led by coach...me! These are so much fun and the atmosphere is so different. Especially when some of the girls bring goodies. We make the boys so jealous! Ah, but what is said in the training room, stays in the training room...

Ladies, wait till you see this workout! Better than last week!

1) We celebrate Festival du Voyageur from February  17 - 26. Lots of jigging, drinking Caribou (no, not the animal but the drink), eating pea soup, admiring snow sculptures, beard competition, and who can forget "la tire", or also called Maple Taffy.

2) Which then brings me to the "tarte au sucre", or maple pie. We make a few of these during this time of the year, and honestly, it is enough sweetness to last me the year! I just go merrily buzzing all day.You definitely need a big glass of cold milk!

4) Cardinals overwinter here. We do not see them often but when we do, it is so magical.

5) From February 2 -12, several restaurants participate at this event. There are set menus at a special price and therefore it gives you a chance to experience different restaurants and different flavours and what they have to offer.

6) The background image is that of Kicking Horse Resort in Golden BC. That red building is the rustic Eagle Eye Restaurant. We will be spending a week playing in the snow!
