I have always loved creating things from whatever stuff I could find. I have especially enjoyed incorporating nature as a theme, with a touch of some magic dust whenever I can.

1) Artist Alexa Meade creates photographs that could easily be mistaken for paintings. She paints directly on top of her subjects in three dimensional space. The photographs of the painted scenes look like flat paintings without the assistance of Photoshop or digital manipulation.
2) The days before Christmas are exciting for kids, and adults like me! Since we where young, my sister and i would participate in our advent calendar. We would take turns on who would have the odd and even days because we all wanted to land on the 25! I kinda miss not being able to share my days with my sister... This advent calendar by Pottery Barn has 25 meticulously designed pockets, each sized for a treat, message, or tiny gift.
3) These are magnetic mini forest made by Kate from Design Sponge. I think I will make myself some and place an entire forest on my commuter. That way, i can hide from the yeti i meet every morning on my commute to work.
4) Oh, they grow up so fast! Especially with this warm-and-woolly accessory, which keeps the cold off their cheeks in a scruffy, lumberjack sort of way. Also sold in adult sizes. These acrylic bearded beanie were designed by Laura Design.

LOVE Merrell boots/footwear. I always have a few on the go and they never disappoint me. They are fashionable and keep my toes warm!

Two books i love to bring out during winter season: Le chandail de Hockey and The Snowman. Both in which have short animation which are just as good.
