We've set a new record for participation at a cyclocross race in Manitoba! There were a total of 178 riders at Mennocross (175 at Darkcross). Well done trikes and tykes!
The FGBC put on another great race at CMU. The bunker run up is always a good time and year after year, at the last minute, i cannot decide if i would rather run or ride through the rocks.
I had a few hiccups at the race, but hey, that is cyclocross for you. I am still waiting for that "perfect" race! First, I was tangled up in a messy start. Then those rope gremlins decided to tangle the rope around my drop bars as i was passing by them, no way of getting untangled in time and ram into the tree ( i believe something similar happened to another racer but i forgot whose blog i read). Nothing bad happened to the bike and i was able to finish the race. Kinda wish that was caught on video because it would be funny to watch, in slow motion, in reverse.
